Charcuterie boards have been one of the trendiest ways of snacking with friends in recent years. If you want to bring the charcuterie fun to the beach, this snack is for you! The greatest part is that this snack is fully customizable to whatever you like. All you need is a food-safe tackle box, your favorite meats, cheeses, crackers, and fruits and you will be ready to take this snack to-go.

Salad In A Cup

That’s right. This one is salad - in a cup! If you’re wanting a low-calorie, refreshing beach lunch, this is the perfect solution for you. This works for any plastic cup with a lid, but we suggest mason jars for a zero-waste reusable container. You can make any variety of salad in individual servings. Just don’t forget your fork!

Our favorite salads include refreshing strawberry and grilled chicken, layered pasta salads with fresh tomatoes and feta, or even just a cup of mixed fruit.

Chicken Salad Pinwheels

Looking for some more variety to pack in that snackle box from earlier? Chicken salad pinwheels are an excellent way to prepare a more fulfilling lunch that doesn’t require any utensils on the go. Any family-favorite chicken salad recipe will work. Just scoop out your chicken salad on tortilla shells, wrap in plastic wrap and chill. Then before you head out to the beach, slice into bite-sized pieces.

Spam Musubi is a Hawaiian favorite! This 3 ingredient snack is made from Spam and sticky rice wrapped in seaweed. It’s easy to transport and will hold up well in the hot sun. For a step-by-step guide, check out this recipe!

You can even add your own twists by adding fresh ingredients such as avocado, cucumber, cooked egg, or even just different sauces. Just remember by adding additional ingredients, you may need to refrigerate in a cooler.

Bag O’ Sandwiches

This lifehack is one that’s been passed down for generations by anyone with a big family. If you’re planning on bringing sandwiches to the beach, consider reusing the bread bag. It’s an easy resealable solution for a whole stack of sandwiches for the entire family!

For some variety, consider using Hawiian rolls for ham and swiss sliders, such as these.

Now that you’ve got your snacks planned, it’s time to head out to the beach! Tropical Beach Resorts is the perfect place for a family beach trip, just a short walk from the water and fully equipped kitchenettes for any unique snacks you want to create!
