November is officially upon us, which means plenty of festivities are underway in and around Siesta Key. Whether you enjoy art, botanical gardens or just love the holiday spirit, there is something for everyone. Read below for upcoming events you don’t want to miss.

Ringling Re-imagined in the Community Gallery - until November 19

If your kiddos enjoy art, they will love the Ringling Re-Imagined exhibition at the Ringling Museum. This exhibit features artwork created by local children who became inspired by the art at the Ringling to create their own pieces. Best part of all: these works are in the museum’s Community Gallery, which is free and open to the public.  

46th Anniversary Orchid Show at Selby Gardens - October 9 - November 28

Presented in collaboration with the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art (The Ringling), the Orchid Show 2021: Aerialists from the Tree Top to the Big Top! combines two of Sarasota’s well-known legacies: orchids and the circus. Selby Gardens, the event’s venue, is a botanical garden that hosts an annual fall orchid show with various themes. Prepare to be blown away this year by amazing aerial acts paired with aerial plants, a truly beautiful intersection of art and nature. Tickets are $10 - $20 for non-members and more information is available here. 

The Siesta Key Crystal Classic - November 12 -15

The ultimate international sand sculpting competition is back during The Siesta Key Crystal Classic. From November 12 -15, you can watch 24 talented artists create stunning works of art made entirely from sand. Make sure you purchase your tickets early so you don’t miss the spectacular competition. 

 
32nd Annual St. Armands Art Festival - Saturday, November 13 - 14

The scenic St. Armands Key is a scenic island paradise right off the Sarasota coast that features a beautiful circle of shops and gourmet restaurants. Approximately 200 artists will make their way to the island on November 13 and 14 for the 32nd Annual St. Armands Circle Art Festival, an event that showcases different art mediums like sculpture, photography, glass, ceramics, jewelry, mixed media and more. You will have the opportunity to interact with these talented artists as you explore their work. For more information about the event, click here. 

Thanksgiving at Cafe Gabbiano - Thursday, November 25

Are you planning to enjoy Thanksgiving on Siesta Key and don’t want to spend all day in the kitchen? Consider making a reservation at Cafe Gabbiano, a local Italian restaurant we can’t get enough of. The restaurant will be open from 2pm -8pm on Thanksgiving Day and will serve a special menu. Be sure to call ahead as space is limited.
 
36th Annual Light Up Siesta Key and Village Holiday Parade - November 27

Ring in the festive spirit of the holidays during the 36th Annual Light Up Siesta Key and Village Holiday Parade. The parade begins at Avenida del Mare and Beach Road at 5:30 PM and will travel north on Beach Road onto Ocean Boulevard into the Village. And don’t forget about Santa at the Siesta Center at the end of the parade. Santa will greet children from 6:30 - 8:30pm and feel free to snap a photo or two.
