Celebrate Spring With Gardens Near Siesta Key

Spring is upon us, and what better way to welcome it than seeing the flowers in full bloom? And there are plenty of beautiful sights to see this season in the Siesta Key and Sarasota area. We’ve compiled a list of our favorite gardens in the area for you to check out on your March visit to Tropical Beach!
 

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens


This garden experience is a great way to immerse yourself in the rich history of Sarasota and learn about the different plants and botanicals you’ll see while strolling. The gardens focus on education and conservation, making it an impactful experience for botanical lovers. Sarasota Jungle Gardens


The Jungle Gardens are your chance to come face to face with both beautiful gardens and exotic creatures! The garden is home to over 200 animals who have been rescued or turned over to their care. Sarasota Succulent Society


This nonprofit organization is a great way to experience succulents with a great cause. The society was started by a school class in the 1950s and has continued to thrive with dedicated volunteers. You’re able to become a member of the society for $25, and the only requirement is that you are a plant lover! They encourage attending the garden on working days, which are Mondays from 9AM - 12PM, and every 3rd Saturday of the month. For more information, visit the garden website here
 

Secret Garden at The Ringling


Also known as the Bayfront Gardens, the Secret Garden located at The Ringling is home to 66 acres of trees, flowers, and more. Get lost in the beauty of this historic garden and explore all that it has to offer, including the fragrant 27,000-square-foot Rose Garden. Palma Sola Botanical Garden


Though this is the furthest location on the list, there is plenty to explore and admission is free! Palma Sola Botanical Gardens features stunning displays of floras, featuring native plants, succulents, exotics, butterfly gardens, and more. Plus check out the monthly local art exhibit and Tea Tree Cafe to complete your trip. You can even take a piece of the garden home when you purchase a plant from the Hidden Garden Nursery! The Sarasota Children’s Garden


If you have young children, you have to check out The Sarasota Children’s Garden for a full day of fun! Kids can explore a land of enchantment with whimsical playground structures in a place that encourages them to use their imaginations while immersed in nature.
